We’re here to help you understand what you may be able to save on your degree – so you can help control costs and make the most of your savings. For example, you can access no-cost gen ed courses through our affiliate, Sophia, then stack your savings with the Strayer Graduation Fund.
As a Strayer student, you have access to no-cost gen ed courses through our affiliate, Sophia. Take up to two online Sophia courses at a time, then apply them toward your undergraduate degree.
*Savings assumes transferring 10 courses taken at Strayer affiliate, Sophia.
Save up to 25% off the cost of your bachelor’s degree with the Strayer Graduation Fund. For every three classes you successfully complete, you’ll earn one on us, tuition-free, that you can redeem as you near the end of your current degree program. Eligible bachelor’s students are automatically enrolled.

International, non-U.S. citizen students – including those living overseas and studying online – may be eligible to receive a 25% reduction in tuition for select Strayer graduate or undergraduate degree programs. If you’re a Strayer University Alumni and ready to pursue a master’s degree, our Alumni Scholarship can save you $4,000. All you need to do is register for an eligible Strayer graduate program, maintain a GPA of 2.5 or greater and meet eligibility requirements.

Frequently asked questions
All of your exams, tests and assignments are completed online. You’re welcome to use the computers on campus where available, to finish your work or take tests.
You’ll use our online course room, Blackboard, for submitting assignments and viewing course content. Classes are 11 weeks long, and each week your work will be due in Blackboard by Sunday at midnight. You can access Blackboard through your student portal, iCampus.
Depending on the class, there are multiple textbook formats. Some are electronic only, with the option of print on demand for an extra fee. Some classes just have a textbook, while others require additional materials.
Transfer Credit

Finish what you started. Transfer up to 28 classes and your bachelor’s degree could be 70% complete, saving you up to $42,700.

Contact former schools to have your official transcripts sent to the Strayer registrar’s office, or see if Strayer can do so on your behalf.
Strayer will review your transcript, and your admissions officer will contact you as soon as possible with a list of approved credits.
